Forest Park hosted Princeton last night at Cedar Crest Intermediate. Princeton managed to find the net twice in the first half off two mishaps in the box.
The Rangers responded in the second half with a single goal. Senior Reece Wolf beat his defender and placed a ball across the goal face. Senior Jalen Morrison crashed the goal and delivered a hard shot past the goalkeeper. The Tigers staved off the Rangers offensive pressure for the remainder of the match to win 2-1.
Following the varsity match, the JV teams played a single half. Forest Park won 3-0. Freshman Trevor James beat his defender to the outside and chipped a shot over the goalkeeper and into the far netting. Later, junior Conner Hochgesang received a thru-ball from senior Will Hasenour before putting an hard shot past the goalkeeper. Senior Jack Kreilein found the end of a corner kick by Clayton Roesner and headed it out of the reach of a barrage of defenders.
