Forest Park hosted Princeton last night at Cedar Crest Intermediate. Princeton managed to find the net twice in the first half off two mishaps in the box.
The Rangers responded in the second half with a single goal. Senior Reece Wolf beat his defender and placed a ball across the goal face. Senior Jalen Morrison crashed the goal and delivered a hard shot past the goalkeeper. The Tigers staved off the Rangers offensive pressure for the remainder of the match to win 2-1.

The Forest Park Rangers lost a PAC contest to Heritage Hills 8-3 in Bretzville on Wednesday. The Patriots scored 2 runs in the 1st, 3rd 6th and 7th innings to secure the win.
Madison Wathan, Avery Riley (2 Doubles) and Emma Welp all had 2 hits for the Rangers. Ali Welp (Double) and Lydia Welp also had hits in the Rangers 8 hit attack. The Forest Park Softball team was shut out by the Tell City Marksman 11-0 in Tell City Tuesday night in PAC Conference action.

The course was set up as a Regional Preview, playing 6,800 yards. Forest Park finished 2nd on the day, a day was mostly sunny, though a damp course. Springs Valley won the meet with a score of 168. Forest Park (170) and Barr Reeve (182)were the other two teams competing. Forest Park's Brant Tretter was the medalist, shooting a 38. Forest Park is 15-3 on the year.
Southridge (3-2. 2-0) defeated Forest Park (3-1, 1-1) 5-4 on Thursday night. Camden Gasser (double and single), Chase Taylor (2 RBIS) and Quinn Barnett (double and single) each had two hits for the Raiders. The Raiders had 11 hits overall with 4 extra base hits. Colson Montgomery, Gasser, Barnett and Konner Thyen all had doubles. Klem and Berg (two doubles) had 2 hits for the Rangers. Drew Howard had a triple for the Rangers.
Ethan Bell went 4 innings on he mound, striking out 7 Rangers to pick up the win. Camden Gasser (3 strike outs) pitched the last 3 innings to pick up his first save. In round 1 of sectional, South Spencer defeated Forest Park by a score of 52-47. South Spencer got off to a hot start, taking a 15-5 lead. The Rangers cut the lead to 28-20, at halftime. Forest Park clawed their way back into the game in the 3rd quarter, out scoring the Rebels 18-12, making it 40-38, after 3. Both teams traded blows in the 4th quarter, but South Spencer prevailed, 52-47. Forest Park was led in scoring by Drew Howard and Simon Jacob, as they tossed in 14 each. Forest Park ended a great season at 16-6. South Spencer will play Tecumseh, in game # 2, Friday.

The Forest Park Rangers finished the season on a high note, as they defeated conference foe Gibson Southern, 70-58, in Ft.Branch. The Rangers had 34-24 lead at halftime. The Titans closed the gap to 59-56 in the 4th quarter, but the Rangers hit their final five shots, to secure the victory. Forest Park’s Drew Howard led The Rangers with 21 points. Even more impressive, the junior went over the 1,000 point scoring mark. Blake Hagedorn chipped in 16, for FP. Gibson Southern was led in scoring by a pair of Sophmores, as Jaxun Lamb scored 15, while Cole McKee added 13. The Rangers finished the season 16-5, winning 9 of their last 10. 16 wins is the most in Coach David Welp’s tenure, at FP. Forest Park returns to action next Tuesday, as they play South Spencer, in their first round sectional game at Southridge. Tip time will be approximately 8:45.

Linton Stockton defeated Forest Park in the morning game of the girls Regional at Crawford County. The Miners, who are the defending state champs and ranked # 1 in 2A, got off to a blistering start! They led the Rangers 17-0 after the 1st quarter and never looked back. The final score was 51-26. Amber Tretter led Forest Park with 13 points. The Rangers had a great season as they finished 17-4. Forest will graduate just two seniors in Emma Gray and Linda Jacob.
It was an instant classic at Buechler Arena tonight, as Forest Park defeated Heritage Hills, 66-60, in overtime. It was close all the way through as The Rangers led 15-13 after 1. The Patriots took a 28-26 lead into half, as Blake Sisley hit a jumper at the buzzer. Heritage Hills led 41-37 after 3, but the Rangers outscored HH 19-15 in the 4th, to force an overtime, tied up 56 all. The Rangers won the battle 10-4 in overtime to win, 66-60. The Patriots were led by Blake Sisley with 32 points. Forest Park’s Drew Howard led the way with 26, while Landon Nalley and Blake Hagedorn chipped in 10 points a piece. The Forest Park JV team was victorious as well, with a 47-40 win.

Forest Park Girls wins 39-20 Over Perry Central
The Rangers led it 26-14 at half. Forest Park never looked back, as they won, 53-28. The Ranger defense was solid again, as they forced 22 Commodore turnovers. With the win, it sets up a sectional championship show down, with Evansville Mater Dei. Mater Dei defeated South Spencer by a score of 39-20. Forest Park and Mater Dei will tip at 7:30 EST.

In a battle of county rivals, it took TWO, extra frames, to decide the final. Forest Park defeated Jasper
68-65 in double overtime. The Rangers led it 25-20 at half, thanks to an 8-0 run, to close the 2nd quarter.
At the end of the 3rd quarter, the Rangers led 37-34. It was a back and forth 4th quarter, which ended with
the teams knotted at 50. The same was true in the 1st overtime, it was back and forth, once again, the first
OT finished in a 58-58 tie. In the second overtime, Jasper gained a 65-62 lead, but Forest Park closed on a
6-0 run to win, 68-65.
Both teams shot it well from from the field. A big point in the game was free throw
shooting. Forest Park was 15-22, while Jasper was 11-26. The leading scorer for Jasper was Gus Heichelbech
with 19 points. Connor Foley and Tanner Erny each added 10, while Isaac Day finished with 9 points.
