Despite getting a no-hittter by Andrew Noblitt, The Jasper Wildcats lost 1-0 to Evansville Central at Ruxer Field on Thursday. Central scored the only need tey would need in the top of the 1st inning.
The Wildcats outhit Central 6-0 in the game. Conner Foley had 2 hits in the game. Drew Barley, Chris Hedinger (double) Matthew Wright and Will Wallace had 1 hit in the game. Noblitt pitch a 7 inning no hitter despite taking the loss. He struck out 4 Bears on the night. Jasper (13-2) will be back in action Monday at Evansville Memorial. Game time is set for 4:30. |

The Jasper Wildcats defeated the Mater Dei Wildcats in Evansville on Monday. Mater Dei scored 3 runs in the bottom the 7th inning but Jasper held on for the victory.
The Wildcats had 8 hits in the game. Conner Foley and Will Wallace both had 2 hits in the game. Ben Henke, Kody Morton (double), Chris Hedinger and Jack Ahlbrand all chipped in a hit for Jasper. Kody Morton took the win for Jasper. Morton allowed nine hits and three runs over seven innings, striking out five and walking one. Jasper will play again Jeffersonville at Ruxer Field on Wednesday at 6:00 |

The Wildcats had 7 hits in the game led by3 hits by Matthew Wright and 2 hits each by Conner Foley (double and 2 runs scored) and Chris Hedinger (double and 2 RBIs.) Jasper left 7 base runners on base. Nick Stratton got the win on the mound. He went 4 innings, striking out 1 Miner while allowing only 1 run. Wright came in to pitch the last 2 innings. The Jasper Wildcats shut out the Bosse Bulldogs 12-0 on Thursday at Ruxer Field behind strong pitching and a strong defense that knocked out 14 hits.
The Wildcats strong offense of 12 runs and 14 hits was by the 2 hit performance by Brayden Giesler. Ben Henke, Will Wallace (double), Kody Morton (double), Tyler Atkins (double), Andrew Noblitt, Conner Foley, Kai Kunz, Drew Bradley, Chris Hedinger, Lucas Timm, Andrew Sternerg and Cole Trevino all contributed a hit on a night that saw 13 different batters get hits. Three Pitchers combined t 1 hit and shut out the Bulldogs. Will Wallace witched the 1st inning, striking out 1 Bulldog. Maverick Merkel got the win for the Wildcats. He went 3 innings and struck out 6 batters. Andrew Sternberg (3 strike out) pitched the final inning for the Wildcats. The Wildcats (8-1) will be back in action tonight (6:00) at Dubois as the play the Northeast Dubois Jeeps.

The Northeast Dubois Jeeps defeated the Jasper Wildcats on Thursday nights at Dubois in dramatic fashion with a walk off home run in the seventh-inning by Hadley Fuhrman.
Jasper took the lead in the top of second on a triple by Olivia Young scoring one run. The Jeeps tied the score by scoring one run in the fifth and two runs in the sixth, the last 2 runs coming on a Emmerson Kalb double. Jasper had seven hits in the game led by the two hit performance of Olivia Young (triple and double). Kaitlyn Mendel Megan Mathias (double), Hillary Springer (double), and Kylie Morton each contributed to hit the Wildcats. The Jeeps had 11 hits on the game led by a three hit performance by Kelly Merkel (double and 2 singles). Grace Leuken and Emerson Kolb (double), had two hit for the Jeeps. . Hadley Furman (home run), Avery Bauer, Megan Burgan and Ava Helming each had 1 hit the Jeeps Hadley Furman picked up the win on the mound striking out five Wildcats in walking one. Kylie Morgan picked up the loss for Jasper, striking out 2 Jeeps . The Jeeps (2-1) will be an action again against North Knox next Tuesday. The Wildcats (3-2) will be in action on Saturday against Loogootee. |
