Tuesday's game against Loogootee was a heartbreak for the Northeast Dubois Jeeps, as they lost the lead late in a 6-3 defeat. The game was tied at three with Loogootee batting in the top of the eighth when Breanna Courter singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.
The Loogootee Lions were outhit 10 to 6 by the Northeast Dubois Jeeps, but still won by a score of 6-3. The Lions scored 3 runs in the 7th inning to bring on an extra inning and than the Lions scored 3 runs in the 8th inning to give Loogootee the win. Grace Lingenfelter, Kortni Rumble, Allie Henninger (double), Breanna Courter, Brianna Eckerle (stolen base) and Sydnee Wittmer all had a hit for Loogootee. Kyleigh Courter added an RBI and a stolen base for the Lions. Allie Henninger pitched a complete game, going 8 innings and striking out 4 Jeeps to get the win. Loogootee will be back in action on Saturday (11:00 AM) when they travel to Bedford North Lawrence. |
