The Southridge Raiders punched their ticket to Victory Field in Indianapolis for the 3A State Championship with a 4-2 victory over Indianapolis Brebeuf on Saturday at Ruxer Field in Jasper.
Camden Gasser started things off for the Raiders in the first inning with a leadoff triple. Afer Colson Montgomery got on base on an error to the right fielder, scoring Gasser, Ethan Bell followed with a double plating Montgomery to give the Raiders a 2-0 lead after the first inning. The Raiders would strike again in the bottom of the 2nd inning when Konner Thyen reached on an error, stole a base and scored the third run of the game. Brebeuf would score 1 run in both of the 4th and 5th innings but Colson Montgomery would hit a "No Doubter" home run to right field that would give the Raiders a 4-2 lead. Along with Gasser, Montgomery and Bell's hits, the Raiders also got a 2 hit performance from Sam Sermershiem. Carter Whitehead and Konner Thyen also got a hit in the Raiders 7 hit attack. Ethan Bell once again pitched a great game, striking out 7 and allowing 2 runs on his way to picking up the win for the Raiders. The Southridge Raiders defaeted the Evansville Memorial Tigers 7-2 to win the Southridge Regional Saturday night at Huntingburg League Stadium. The Raidres scopred 2 runs in both the 1st and 2nd inning and 3 runs in tyhe 4th innings on their way to the Regional victory.
The Raiders were outhit in the game 11 to 8 but still pulled out the victory. Chase Taylor (Home Run, Double and 4 RBIs) Hudson Allen (2 Singles) each had multiple hit games. Camden Gasser, Ethan Bell (Home Run), Carter Whitehead and Konner Thyen all contributed a hit in the Regional Championship. Ethan Bell and Sam Sermersheim had stolen bases for the Raiders. The Southridge Raiders defeated the Gibson Southern Titans 10-2 in a PAC Conference battle at Gibson Southern as the Raiders wind down their season and prepare for Sectional play.
Southridge outhit the Titans 8 to4 lead by the 2 hit performances by Camden Gasser and Ethan Bell. Chase Taylor , Carter Whitehead, Keaton Allen and Konner Thyen also contributed a hit. The Raiders were once again dominant on the base paths as they stole 10 bases on the game. Southridge defeated the Princeton Tigers 11-1 at League Stadium to run their record to 5-2 on the young season. The Raiders had 10 hits to go with their 11 runs.
Camden Gasser, Carter Whitehead and Sam Sermersheim all had two hits. Gasser had five RBIs, Colson Montgomery and Carson Niehaus had 2 RBIs each. Gasser, Montgomery and Niehaus also had 2 stolen bases a a piece. Konner Thyen pitched 5 innings, while striking out 7 Princeton batters and not walking anyone. The Raiders were able to get the extra inning win despite giving up 4 runs in the bottom of the ninth inning after scoring 5 runs of their own in the top half of the ninth. Sam Sermersheim pitched 4 innings, Mick Uebelhor pitched 4 2/3 before Camden Gasser entered to close out the game for Southridge. Konner Thyen threw out the would be game winning runner at home plate in the bottom of the 7th to force extra innings.

The Raider Track and Field Teams hosted Boonville, South Spencer, and Perry Central on Tuesday night at Raider Field. The Girls Team won the Quad Meet with 93.5 points while the next closest was team Boonville at 57 points. The Boys finished just behind Boonville by a slim 4 points to take second.

Camden Gasser (double and single), Chase Taylor (2 RBIS) and Quinn Barnett (double and single) each had two hits for the Raiders. The Raiders had 11 hits overall with 4 extra base hits. The Southridge Raiders defeated the Tecumseh Braves 14-4 at League Stadium on Tuesday night. The Raiders had 13 hits 8 stolen bases and 14 runs on the night.

Colson Montgomery also had a home run for the Raiders. Hudson Allen got the win for the Raiders on the hill, allowing only 1 hit over 3 innings. Raiders knocked off some rust and gained some valuable experience in the season opening loss to the Red Devils of Jeffersonville. Brayson Fuhs and Konner Thyen each picked up rbi singles. Keaton Allen and Hudson Allen both scored a run for Southridge.
