    The Southridge Raiders punched their ticket to Victory Field in Indianapolis for the 3A State Championship with a 4-2 victory over Indianapolis Brebeuf on Saturday at Ruxer Field in Jasper.
  Camden Gasser started things off for the Raiders in the first inning with a leadoff triple.  Afer Colson Montgomery got on base on an error to the right fielder, scoring Gasser,  Ethan Bell followed with a double plating Montgomery to give the Raiders a 2-0 lead after the first inning.
   The Raiders would strike again in the bottom of the 2nd inning when Konner Thyen reached on an error, stole a base and scored the third run of the game.
   Brebeuf would score 1 run in both of the 4th and 5th innings but Colson Montgomery would hit a "No Doubter" home run to  right field that would give the Raiders a 4-2 lead.  Along with Gasser, Montgomery and Bell's hits, the Raiders also got a 2 hit performance from Sam Sermershiem.   Carter Whitehead and Konner Thyen also got a hit in the Raiders 7 hit attack.
  Ethan Bell once again pitched a great game, striking out 7 and allowing 2 runs on his way to picking up the win for the Raiders.  Camden Gasser pitched the final 2 outs to pick up the save'
  The Raiders will play for the 3A State Championship on June 22 at 5 PM at Victory Field against Hanover Central in Indianapolis.

The Southridge Raiders defaeted the Evansville Memorial Tigers 7-2 to win the Southridge Regional Saturday night at Huntingburg League Stadium.   The Raidres scopred 2 runs in both the 1st and 2nd inning and 3 runs in tyhe 4th innings on their way to the Regional victory.
  The Raiders were outhit in the game 11 to 8 but still pulled out the victory.   Chase Taylor (Home Run, Double and 4 RBIs) Hudson Allen (2 Singles) each had multiple hit games. Camden Gasser, Ethan Bell (Home Run), Carter Whitehead and Konner Thyen all contributed a hit in the Regional Championship.   Ethan Bell and Sam Sermersheim had stolen bases for the Raiders.
    Mick Uebelhor started the game giving up 5 hits ad 2 runs.   Camden Gasser came in relief, striking out 4 while giving up no runs to pick up the win.   Chase Taylor came in to pitch the last two outs.
  The Raiders will play Indianapolis Brebeuf in the Semi-State at Ruxer Field at 1 PM

   The Southridge Raiders defeated the Silver Creek Dragons in11 innings 2-1 in the Semifinal of the Southridge Regional held at Huntingburg's League Stadium. The crucial hit in the game was walk off single by Senior Camden Gasser scoring Sam Sermersheim with the winning run.
  The Raiders had 7 hits in the game led by the 3 hit performance by Camden Gasser (Double and 2 Singles) and 2 hit performance by Chase Taylor (Double and Single).  Ethan Bell and Carter Whitehead also had 1 hit.   The Raiders also stole 3 bases, Camden Gasser with 2 stolen bases and Colson Montgomery with a stolen base.
   Ethan Bell pitched 8 strong innings, striking out 6 batters, while allowing 6 hits and 1 run.  Camden Gasser came into pitch the final 3 innings, striking out 3 for the win.

   The Southridge Raiders defeated the Jeffersonville Red Devils 14-4 shortened by the run rule at League Stadium on Tuesday night.
  The Raiders had 14 hits on the ight.  Leading the Raiders at he plate were Colson Montgomery (Single, Double, Home Run, 2 RBIs and 3 runs scored) and Ethan Bell (2 Doubles, Single, 3 RBIs and 2 runs scored) with 3 hits on the night.   Keaton Allen and Sam Sermersheim (Double,  Single and 2 RBIs) also had 2 hits a piece i the game.   Hudson Allen Carter Whitehead, Quinn Barnett and Konner Thyen all contributed a hit to the Raiders14 hits.   Thyen, Bell and Montgomery also contributed stolen bases for the Raiders.
   Mick Uebelhor pitched 3 innings, giving up 5 hits and 2 runs to pick up the win.  Carter Whitehead came in to pitch the last 2 innings
  The Raiders will be back in action at the Southridge Sectional on Monday against Pike Central.

   The Southridge Raiders defeated the Gibson Southern Titans 10-2 in a PAC Conference battle at Gibson Southern as the Raiders wind down their season and prepare for Sectional play.
  Southridge outhit the Titans 8 to4 lead by the 2 hit performances by Camden Gasser and Ethan Bell.   Chase Taylor , Carter Whitehead, Keaton Allen and Konner Thyen also contributed a hit.   The Raiders were once again dominant on the base paths as they stole 10 bases on the game.  Ethan Bell (4 Steals) Camden Gasser (2 Steals), Carter Whitehead (2 Steals) Keaton Alllen and Chase Taylor all contributed.
     The Raiders had three pitchers on the mound with Mick Uebelhor picking up the win.   Carson Niehaus  and Keaton Allen also pitched for the Raiders.
   Southridge will be back in action tonight at League Stadium against Evansville North starting t at 5:30.

   The Southridge Raiders defeated the Northeast Dubois Jeeps  10-0 in 6 innings.  The Raiders scored in 4 innings on their way to a run rule shortened game.
   Southridge had 13 hits in the game, led by the 3 hit performances by Ethan Bell (Double and 2 Single) , Hudson Allen (2 Doubles and a Single) and Quinn Barnett (3 Singles).  Carter Whitehead (Double and Single) had 2 hits on the night.   The Raiders also stole 6 bases on the night.  Quinn Barnett stole 2 bases against he Jeeps.  Sam Sermersheim. Carson Niehaus, Hudson Allen and Carter Whitehead also had stolen bases on the night.

  The Raiders play again Thusday at PAC foe Gibson Southern at 6:30.

    The Southridge Raiders won the second game of the day at League Stadium over Pike Central 8-6.      The Raiders had 12 hits to go with their 8 runs in the game.  
   The Raiders were lead in hitting by Camden Gasser ( Double and 2 Singles).  Gasser had 3 hits in the game.  The Raiders also had multiple hit games from Colson Montgomery (Triple and Double) and Hudson Allen (2 Singles).  Mason Stapleton, Keaton Allen, Blake Taylor, Brayson Fuhs and Konner Thyen all added a hit to the Raider cause.  The Raiders also had 10 steals in the game, 3 steals by Keaton Allen and Camden Gasser, 2 steals by Sam Sermersheim and a steal each by Konner Thyen and Colson Montgomery.
   Kaleb Wibbeler started the game on the mound, allowing  6 runs on 9 hits while striking out 1 Charger in 4 innings of work.   Sam Sermersheim pitched the final 3 innings for the win.    He struck out 3 while allowing 0 runs and 0 hits.  
  The Raiders play again tonight against Boonville at 8:30 at League Stadium.  The game will also be broadcasted om WBDC.

  The Southridge Raiders beat the Heritage Hills Patriots in 12 innings 4-3 in PAC Conference action.   The Raiders won  on  a walk off  single by Hudson Allen in the 12th inning.
   The Raiders beat out 10 hits on the night lead by e 2 hit night by Hudson Allen (Double) and Quinn Barnett.   Colson Montgomery (Double) Carter Whitehead, Sam Sermersheim, Kaleb Wibbeler, Mick Uebelhor (Double) and Konner Thyen (2 RBIs) all had 1 hit in the game.  The Raiders also had  7 stolen bases on the night, lead by Colson Montgomery's 2 stolen bases.   Quinn Barnett, Mick Uebelhor, Sam Sermersheim, Camden Gasser,  Carson Niehaus and Carter Whitehead all had 1 Stolen base.
   Ethan Bell went 5 innings allowing 5 hits and 1 run while striking out 5in the start.   Camden Gasser threw the final 5 innings allowing no runs and 2 hits while striking out 5 to pick up the win.

   The Raiders will be back in action on Thursday at Mount Vernon starting at 5:00.

The Lady Raider Track and Field Team finished 5th at PAC tonight. Heritage Hills won the conference by 1.5 points over Gibson Southern. Ansley Bicknell was the Raiders loan conference champion with a win in Pole Vault (8-6).

The Southridge Raider Baseball team defeated the Mater Dei Wildcats 9-3 on Tuesday in Evansville.    The Raiders had 11 hits to go with their 9 runs on the night.
   Camden Gasser and Quinn Barnett led the Raiders with 2 hits.   Colson Montgomery hit a home run o go along with is3 runs scored and a stolen base.  Carter Whitehead, Chase Taylor (Double), Ethan Bell (Double), Hudson Allen (Double), Kaleb Wibbeler (Double) and Carson Niehaus al had 1 hit a piece a for the Raiders  11 hit attack.  
   Sam Sermersheim pitched 4.33 innings to get the win/  He struck out 2 Wildcats while only allowing 2 runs.  Carson Niehaus pitched the last2.67 innings.
   The Raiders play again Tuesday against Tell City at League Stadium.  Game time is at 5:30.

Congratulations to Ansley Bicknell for breaking the school record in Pole Vault with a vault of 9’7″. The Raiders continue to rewrite the record books this season! Keep up the strong performance.    The Boys Track and Field Team finished 3rd Thursday night at their Home Invitational. Heritage Hills won the event and Alex Schaefer of HH won Meet MVP.
   First Place Finishers for the Raiders – Matt Springer – Shot Put (42’6″), Ricky Pflanz – 800m (2:01.34), Alessandro De Rosa – High Jump (6’0″), The Freshman 4×1 Team of Curry, Voegerl, C Neukam, and Arroyo, and the 4×8 Team of Bland, Kane, Giles, and Pflanz.

   Dylan Bland broke the school record set by Chris Lanman (9:57.3) in 1990 with a time of 9:44.27. Congrats to Dylan and the rest of the distance guys on a strong start to the year. They now have the school records in the 800m, 1600m, and 3200m.

   North Posey scores 2 runs on a walk off to defeat the Southridge (6-3) Raiders 5-4.  It was the first loss for the Raiders in the Pocket Athletic Conference.  North Posey scores 4 runs in the last two innings for the win.
   The Raiders were led by Colson Montgomery who had 1 hit and 3 runs scored.  Camden Gasser, Chase Hunter, Hudson Allen and Ethan Bell also had hits.  The Raiders had 5 hits in the game.  
   Ethan Bell started on the mound.   He allowed  7 hits, 5 runs striking out 2 and walking 7.  Camden Gassser came in relief.
   The Raiders will take on the Reitz Panthers Saturady at League Stadium starting at 6:00.

   The Southridge Raiders beat the Evansville Memorial Tigers 10-4 at League Stadium on Wednesday.   The Raiders had 12 hits to go along with their 10 runs.    The Raiders also finished with 10 stolen bases. 
   The Raiders were led at the plate by Senior Camden Gasser with 3 hits  3 stolen bases and 2 RBIs.   Chase  Taylor (3 RBIs), Ethan Bell (2 stolen bases and 2 RBIs) and Kaleb Wibbeler all had 2 hits on the night.    Colson Montgomery (Double and 2 stolen bases), Carter Whitehead (2 stolen bases)a and Conner Thyen al contributed at the plate with 1 hit.
   Mick Uebelhor got the win on the mound, pitching 4 innings, allowing 2 runs, 7 hits  and striking out 3 Tigers.  Sam Sermersheim and Carson Niehaus came in relief to preserve the win.
  The Raiders will play again tonight tonight at North Posey starting at 6:30.

   On Tuesday night at the Freshmen/Sophomore Invitational at Dubois, the Raiders took 1st (Girls Team) and 5th (Boys Team) as our underclassmen got some valuable experience on the track and field. The athletes battled very cold temps and strong winds to post some impressive performances.   
   Girl’s Team Winners – Kenley Hayes – 200m, Emma Blessinger – 400m, Kelsey Wibbeler – 3200m, Natilee Wahl – Pole Vault – Illie Nicolson – Discus, the 4×8 Team of Wibbeler, Cox, Neher, and Blessinger, 4×4 Team of Blessinger, Neher, Hayes, and Wibbeler, and the 4×1 Team of Duron, Tobin, Hayes, Wahl.
​   Boy’s Team Winners – Joe Witte – 100m and the 4×1 Team of Curry, Kramer, Arroyo, and Witte.

   The Boys Team took first place out of 6 Teams at Gibson Southern on Monday Night, moving their record to 14-2 on the season. The team was lead with individual wins from Dylan Bland in the 1600m (4:43) and 3200m (10:25), Ricky Pflanz in the 800m (2:05), and Alessandro De Rosa in High Jump (6’0″). All three relay teams for the Boys Team won. 400m Relay of Jochem, Springer, Kippenbrock, and Witte, 1600m Relay of De Rosa, Kippenbrock, Altmeyer, and Pflanz, and 3200m Relay of Bland, Giles, Kane, and Pflanz.
   The Girl’s Team placed second behind a very strong Gibson Southern Team, moving their season record to 13-3. The Girls were lead by Bailey Keusch with wins in the 100m Hurdles (17.56), 300m Hurdles (51.93), and the 200m Dash (28.58).   
   Both teams are back in action tonight for the Freshmen/Sophomore Invitational at NE Dubois.

     Friday Night, Southridge defeated Evansville Christian 16-1 at League Stadium in Huntingburg.   Southridge scored in all four innings in the game.  Southridge scores 4 in both the 1st and 2nd innings, 2 in the 3rd inning and 6 in the 4th inning in a game shortened to 5 innings by the 19 run rule. 
     Camden Gasser (two doubles and 2 steals), Carter Whitehead (triple and single), and Mick Uebelhor all had 2 hits a piece as the Raiders finished with 13 hits.  The offensive attack was well balanced as 11 Raiders got RBI's.
     Hudson Allen went three innings, striking out 3 for the win.  Mason Stapleton (1K) and Chase Taylor (2K's) pitched in relief.
     The Raiders will play again Wednesday, April 21 against Evansville Memorial at League Stadium

   Southridge defeated the Princeton Tigers 11-1 at League Stadium to run their record to 5-2 on the young season.  The Raiders had 10 hits to go with their 11 runs.
   Camden Gasser, Carter Whitehead and Sam Sermersheim all had two hits. Gasser had five RBIs, Colson Montgomery and Carson Niehaus had 2 RBIs each.
Gasser, Montgomery and Niehaus also had 2 stolen bases a a piece.
  Konner Thyen pitched 5 innings, while striking out 7 Princeton batters and not walking anyone.

The Raiders were able to get the extra inning win despite giving up 4 runs in the bottom of the ninth inning after scoring 5 runs of their own in the top half of the ninth. Sam Sermersheim pitched 4 innings, Mick Uebelhor pitched 4 2/3 before Camden Gasser entered to close out the game for Southridge. Konner Thyen threw out the would be game winning runner at home plate in the bottom of the 7th to force extra innings.

​   Gasser led the way offensively with 3 hits, 1 walk, 3 stolen bases and 2 runs scored. Carter whitehead and Hudson Allen had 2 RBIs each.


   The Raiders will host Princeton in a PAC matchup Thursday night at 6:30pm

   The Raider Track and Field Teams hosted Boonville, South Spencer, and Perry Central on Tuesday night at Raider Field. The Girls Team won the Quad Meet with 93.5 points while the next closest was team Boonville at 57 points. The Boys finished just behind Boonville by a slim 4 points to take second.

  Ethan Bell went 4 innings on he mound, striking out 7 Rangers to pick up the win.  Camden Gasser (3 strike outs) pitched the last 3 innings to pick up his first save.  Weisheit pitched 4 innings for the Rangers.

The Southridge Raiders defeated the Tecumseh Braves 14-4 at League Stadium on Tuesday night.   The Raiders had 13 hits 8 stolen bases and 14 runs on the night.
   Chase Taylor led the Raiders with 3 hits (2 doubles) and 4 RBIs.  Colson Montgomery (2 RBIs and 3 stolen bases) and and  Sam Sermersheim (2 doubles) also had 2 hits a piece.  
   Konner Thyen went 3 innings (3 Strike outs) to pick up the win on the mound.    Camden Gasser had 1 hit to go along with stealing home.

Southridge defeated Vincennes 11-7 on Thursday night.  The Raiders had a 12 hit hits, led by Camden Gasser (2 doubles) Ethan Bell ( double and a single) and Quin Barnett (2 singles).  Colson Montgomery also had a home run for the Raiders.  Hudson Allen got the win for the Raiders on the hill, allowing only 1 hit over 3 innings.   The Raiders (1-1) will next play at League Stadium on Tuesday, April 6 at 6:00 when they play Tecumseh.​
